Student events are one of the pinnacles of a music career at UofL. We invite the community at large to join us as they perform both well-known and brand new pieces.
My time as a student at the School of Music is an experience I am grateful for every day. My current life as a full-time musician would not have been possible without the immense guidance and support from faculty, staff, and colleagues who continue to encourage and inspire me to this day.
Being able to listen to a whole ensemble, but pick out the music coming from each one, it felt like I had superpowers. Once you can do that, you can almost reverse engineer it, mentally hear what you want to sound like and make that happen.
