The University of Louisville School of Music is marking a milestone year as it celebrates 25 years of impact through its Music Therapy Clinic. To honor the program’s legacy and invest in its future, UofL has launched the “25 for 25” community giving campaign, aiming to raise $25,000 to support music therapy students, services and outreach efforts.
For a quarter century, UofL students and faculty have used the power of music to promote healing, connection and well-being for individuals across the region. The Music Therapy Clinic has grown into a vital community resource, serving thousands each year through partnerships with schools, residential programs and medical facilities. Many of these services are provided at reduced cost or through grant funding, helping ensure access for those who need it most.
Gifts made through the “25 for 25” campaign will directly support the Music Therapy Program, providing resources for students while sustaining and expanding accessible services throughout the community. The campaign also offers opportunities for donors to amplify their impact through matching and challenge gifts.
The campaign will culminate on April 28 with the “25 for 25: A UofL Music Therapy Clinic Bash,” a free, family- and sensory-friendly celebration open to alumni, students, families and community members. The event will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the School of Music Front Courtyard and will feature live music, student performances and opportunities to connect with those impacted by the clinic’s work. The event will be held outdoors, with an indoor option available in case of inclement weather.
The celebration not only highlights the program’s impact over the past 25 years but also underscores its commitment to the future, continuing to train the next generation of music therapists while expanding services that improve lives across the community.
Make a gift today in support of the campaign, and help shape the next 25 years of music therapy at UofL. Register to attend the event to celebrate the impact of the campaign with fellow School of Music supporters.
