The University of Louisville Opera Theatre, University Symphony Orchestra, and Department of Theatre Arts are excited to share the production of Into the Woods this spring. We invite the UofL and the surrounding communities to one of three showings at The Playhouse.

With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and based on the book by James Lapine, Into the Woods will explore many deep themes, including familial relationships, repercussions of choices, and loss.

The School of Music’s Professor Michael Ramach shares, “we are happy to be collaborating with the Theatre Department on this production. The cast consists of music performance, therapy, and education majors, as well as theatre students and students from the general population of the university. Any time you can work on a musical by Sondheim and Lapine, it’s a fun and challenging experience, as well as an educational one for the students. So please come and support our efforts. Tickets are on sale now.”

Join us on March 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. or March 22 at 3:00 p.m. for this unique opportunity to see our students shine.
